Property connection chamber products are factory-produced precast concrete and reinforced concrete access structures used to connect the wastewater lines of residential buildings, commercial buildings and industrial facilities to the site or municipal sewer system safely and in a controlled manner. Located at the building or property outlet, these chambers form a connection, inspection and maintenance point between the building's internal wastewater line and the external infrastructure line.
Precast property connection chambers consist of units whose moulds, concrete, dimensional accuracy and curing process are controlled under factory conditions. The system is completed by the chamber base, the chamber shaft and the chamber reducer selected according to the project, working together.
Property connection chambers are generally smaller than inspection manholes and are used as access and inspection points for building and property connections. In this respect, they differ from inspection manholes on the main line and from storm water gully systems, whose function is to collect surface water.
Typical Areas of Use
- Sewer property outlet points of residential and commercial buildings
- Outlet chambers of buildings and production blocks in industrial facilities
- Property connections in estate infrastructure systems
- Infrastructure renewal and modification points in existing buildings
Key Advantages
- Controlled production: Provides repeatable quality in dimensions, levels and connection surfaces.
- Fast installation: Reduces the need for formwork and casting on site; shortens installation time.
- Secure connection: Forms a standard transition point between the building wastewater line and the external infrastructure line.
- Watertightness and regular flow: Supports the aim of watertightness through its connection geometry and gasket solutions. The spread of odours is assessed together with the cover and ventilation arrangement.
- Ease of maintenance: Its accessible design makes cleaning, camera inspection and modification work easier.
Structural Components
Property Connection Chamber Reducer
This is the top unit that provides the transition from the shaft cross-section to the cover level. By forming a controlled narrowing from the shaft towards the cover opening, it provides a transition arrangement suited to the installation of the cover and helps the surface-works details to be resolved neatly.
Property Connection Chamber Shaft
This is the vertical shaft unit that sits on the base. Where necessary, the required chamber depth is achieved by stacking more than one shaft unit. The shaft is designed to form the inspection and maintenance opening appropriate to the product type, and it transfers superstructure loads to the base and the ground.
Property Connection Chamber Base
This is the lowest unit, where the building outlet pipe is connected to the property line or the main line. The pipe inlet and outlet openings and the flow-guiding detail are located on this unit. The inlet and outlet levels are designed according to the building outlet level and the level of the site line.
Integrated-Gasket System
Integrated-gasket property connection chamber products contribute to watertightness at the joints in the connection between the building outlet line and the external sewer. The gasket works in accordance with the joint detail of the selected product and helps to limit wastewater leaking out and groundwater entering the system. The connection is completed in accordance with the installation instructions of the relevant product.
Main Advantages
- Watertightness: Helps to limit the passage of water at the gasketed joints of building and property connections.
- Ease of installation: A gasket solution suited to the product makes it easier to complete the connection properly on site.
- Joint compatibility: Supports the chamber base and the connected pipe working together in accordance with the product detail.
